CONCORD is the European confederation of Relief and Development NGOs. We are made up of member organisations: 28 national associations, 20 international networks and 3 associate members that represent over 2,600 NGOs, supported by millions of citizens across Europe. We are a member-led organisation which means that the members give the strategic direction of the confederation.
We are a not for profit organisation, registered under Belgian law as an a.i.s.b.l – Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif – (An international not for profit association). Founded in 2003 by development NGOs from across Europe, our organisational name CONCORD is an acronym based on ‘CONfederation for COoperation of Relief and Development NGOs’.
We are the main interlocutor with the EU institutions on development policy. We aim to strengthen the impact of European development NGOs vis-à-vis the European Institutions and to positively influence the European Development policies for a fair, just and sustainable world.
The International Forum of National NGO Platforms (IFP) brings together 62 national platforms from Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania and 6 regional coalitions, which together account for more than 22,000 organizations. The IFP was founded at an international conference in Paris in 2008. The members of our global network work together through a shared vision and common values: the defense of human rights, the inclusion of the most vulnerable populations, the fight against inequalities and injustice, as well as the eradication of poverty and sustainable development. National platforms from the five continents have endorsed joint advocacy positions and promoted non-governmental diplomacy initiatives to effectively broaden CSOs space in the international arena and influence local and global debates, promoting our vision of a fair and sustainable world.
The Platform of Human Rights Organisations in Malta (PHROM) is the nation’s first network of NGOs striving to promote human rights.

PHROM was established “to provide a national forum for human rights organisations in Malta to develop, promote and advocate for the values of human dignity and equality more effectively.” (Article 3.1, PHROM Statutes).

As such, the Platform attracts membership from Maltese NGOs working directly and indirectly in the promotion of human rights values, with the understanding the networked advocacy is more effective, sustainable and exciting!

TerraFirma Collective is a platform for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Malta and Gozo working on environment, nature conservation and other related issues. Through this platform, TerraFirma aims to promote communication and collaboration between the NGOs in the country.
The platform also aims to increase the capacity of its member organisations by offering training to NGOs on various topics such as advocacy, communications, board management and fundraising and help give NGOs representation on a local and international level.
The platform was established in 2014 as part of the project entitled ‘Empowering Maltese NGOs’ which was initiated by Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar, Friends of the Earth Malta and the Malta Organic Agriculture Movement.
